Introduction

Our team is the most active CERT Unit in NYC. We meet on Saturdays at one of several of our Training Centers in Brooklyn, either at the Borough Park Library on 43rd Street or Maimodides Hospital Training Center at 48th Street and 9th Avenue. Our weekday Training Centers are at IS 220 on 48th Street & 9th Avenue on Monday's and Thursday evenings. On Tuesday's at our original Training Center at 950 49th Street & 10th Avenue, Maimodides Hospital and Wednesday's near the Community Board 12 headquarters on 59th Street and 13th Avenue.

We are presently working with State Senator Eric Adam's who will be letting the team use his community room on weekends. This will give us Training Centers six days of the week. This will ensure that every credentialed and non-credentialed member of the team will have one day out of the week to attend one or more of our training meetings.

All NYC CERT Units are invited to work with us on tabletop exercises, assisting the Ready New York program in educating the communities and community preparedness events.
